Mails which left Auckland on April 30. via Vancouver, arrived at London on May 29. KING’S BIRTHDAY HOLIDAY, JUNE 3, 1935. Postal.—All post offices will be closed in all branches. Mails outward: Inland, for North Island offices (except Auckland and district) will be closed at 6 a.m., Auckland and district and South Island offices will be closed at 8 a.m.; overseas, Norfolk Island, Fiji, Apia, Fanning Island and Hawaiian Islands, per steamer (from Auckland), 8 a.m. Street receivers: The night clearances will be made as usual on Sunday, June 2. Postmen’s deliveries: The postmen will not make a delivery, but on Saturday, June 1, between 7.30 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. correspondence, including registered articles, may be obtained at the Postmen’s Branch (first floor, main entrance C.P.0.). Correspondence usually delivered from Kilbirnie, E. 3, and Wellington South, S.l. may be obtained at the respective offices upon application between the hours mentioned. Private box lobby: Open as usual. Telegraph.—Auckland Christchurch, Dunedin and Wellington 9 a,m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to midnight.
