HARBOUR RESCUE
Elderly Woman Discovered in Water An elderly woman, Mrs. Kirkwood, of 9 Hopper Street, was yesterday rescued unconscious from the harbour under th 4 sea wall on the Oriental Bay side of Point Jerningham. revived by ai'tilicial respiration, and taken to Wellington Hospital by the Free Ambulance. She was seen by a young man passing by early in the afternoon being washed up by the waves on to a shinglespit below I lie wall. She was carried up the beach, and. after assistance by others who had arrived on Hie scene, regained consciousness in time to be lined tip a ladder to the ambulance on the road above the wall. Her condition is satisfactory.
