ELECTIONS TO-DAY List of Hutt Valley Candidates Hutt Valley electors to-day will have the opportunity of voting for those candidates whom they consider be»t fitted to carry out the administrative duties on the Borough Councils, Harbour Board, Hospital Board, Power Board, and the Ga.s Lighting Board. ELECTION REMINDERS New polling booths have been provided by the Petone returning officer in the Education Board board room. 3.1 Mercer Street, Wellington; the St. David’s Presbyterian Sunday School room, Britannia Street, Petone; and the YAI.C.A. Hall, Cuba Street, Petone. These booths take the place of those provided in previous years in the Makara County Council office, Orange Hall and Cuba Street garage. The Hutt River Board election closes at 6 p.m., one hour earlier thau the municipal elections. In connection with tbe Harbour Board election, every elector has only one vote, irrespective of whether his or her name appears more than once in the several rolls of the combined districts of the counties of Hutt and Makara, the boroughs Petone, Lower Hutt, East bourne and Upper Hutt, and tbe town district of Johnsonville. For the Hospital Board election of one member to represent the combined districts of the Upper Hutt borough and the Hutt County Council, the Upper Hutt electors should note that, the most convenient booths appointed for them are at Howell’s Garage.
