Further Restoration of British Salary Cuts (Received April 11, 10.10 p.m.) London, April 11. The “Daily Telegraph," discussing Budget prospects, expresses the opinion that there is no hope of a reduction in the standard rate of income tax. The remaining half of the pay cuts of Ministers, judges, civil servants, teachers and police are likely to be restored; otherwise only minor concessions are possible.
