“The Valparaiso”
QpHE next great song hit is going to be “The Valparaiso.” This is a brand new song and dance number which has been specially composed by Mabel Wayne, the famous American writer of song hits, for the new 8.1. P. musical comedy production. ‘ “Dance Band,” which is Charles “Buddy” Rogers’s first English film. Mabel Wayne is the young woman who wrote “Little Man, You’ve Had a Busy Day,” “In a Little Spanish Town.” “Ramona,” “It Happened in Monterey,” and dozens of other popular successes. “The Valparaiso” is a rhumba which will be danced on a huge cabaret floor by Holland and Hart, the famous American speciality dancers who are one of the most successful acts in Cochran’s “Streamline,” now running in London. When Holland and Hart have finished the dance, a hundred of the most beautiful'girls in England will carry on the number.
