Care of Crippled Children
Sir, —1 am afraid Air. Stuart Wilson lias’ rather missed the point of my letter. I contend that, irrespective of whether times, are good or bad, wealthy men and wealthy corporations carry on in the •same selfish, unctuous manner, aud perhaps more so when times are good. With the last part of Air. Wilson’s letter I am in entire accord. Human nature being as jt is, annarently to do our job thoroughly the best recourse is to a well-conducted State lottery. Older countries have adopted this method, the result being the sick and maimed get the best of attention, which is only their due. With the election now in view the time is ripe for Parliamentary candidates to express themselves hereon.—l am. etc., OBSERVER. Wellington, April 11.
