NOT GUILTY VERDICT
Ground of Insanity in Australian Trial ACCUSED DETAINED (Received 2Xpril 11, 10.15 p.m.) it Sydney, April 11. The jury at the trial of John V. Dole, who was charged witli the murder of his daughter Annie, aged 15, at Finley, returned a verdict of not guilty on the ground of insanity. Mr. Justice Maxwell ordered Dole to lie detained during the Governor's pleasure. X cable message from Sydney on December 6 last'stated:— "2X terrible crime wits revealed at Finley, in southern New South Wales, when three girls, aged 1..», 10 and 4. all daughters of J. V. Dole, farm labourer, were found dead in their beds with their throats slashed. by a razor. A blood-stained razor was discovered by the police. First news of the tragedy was received by the local doctor, Dr. E. A. Eddy, who received a mysterious _ temphone message requesting him to visit the house. The doctor informed the police. The police discovered the dead girl's father in a wool shed 100 yards from the house with a wound in his wrist.
