BELGIAN SUPPORT
Will Join Proposed Air Pact (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, February 13. Zhe Belgian Government has expressed satisfaction to-the British and French Ambassadors in Brussels at the agreement reached during the recent Anglo-French conversations, and has asked them to tell their respective Governments that Belgium will be prepared to join the proposed air pact, which it considers would reinforce the Western European peace system. NEW BRITISH SQUADRONS Provision of Equipment (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, February 13. Preparations are in hand to ensure that necessary equipment will be available to keep pace with the formation of the new squadrons of the Royal Air Force already announced. Sir Philip Sassoon, Under-Secretary for Air, in the House of Commons said that a substantial increase in the financial provision for the supply of aircraft and engines, which would be required in 1935, would be reflected in the Estimates shortly to be Presented.
