THE PAREMATA BRIDGE
Tire result of the Paremata Bridge poll has clarified a question into which a good deal of feeling has been imported. It has also made possible an advance toward a rational route from Wellington to the North which will eliminate the Paekakariki Hill. This objective should not be overlooked. The contribution from the Main Highways Board was made with that objective in mind. It could not be justified on any other grounds than that it was an instalment toward the realisation of the larger scheme. ,
