PENALTY FOR MAORI
Hastings Assault Case By Telegraph. —Press Association Hastings, February 1-1. Found guilty yesterday on a charge of assaulting Constable A. Sutherland at Hastings on January 18, so as to cause him actual bodily harm. Waiter Pokl a youug ifaori, was sentenced in the Supreme Court to-day to four months’ imprisonment.
