Fixtures For To-morrow Upper Hutt Cricket League fixtures for to-morrow are as follow: — Ordnance v. Trenlham A. No. 1 wieket; Training Depot v. Upper Hutt. A. No. 2; Methodist v. Trentham B, No. 3; St. Joseph’s v. Upper Hutt B, No. 4. AH games will start at 2 p.m. Applications to hire the hall which is shortly to be erected by the Hutt Valley Horticultural Society .in Lower Hutt have already been made by musical and theatrical people, according to an announcement by the secretary yesterday. He mentioned that £lB5O worth of debentures had so far been applied for.
A slight falling off in enrolments was experienced by the Petone Memorial Technical College at the beginning of the year, due probably to the easing up of the conditions whiclj prevented young people finding employ, ment. During 1934, 91 pupils left the day classes, and 71 of them found positions. The principal, Mr. A. McFadyen, expects that the number attending evening classes will be increased. Accountancy classes commence on Monday, and other evening classes on Feb- j ruary 25.
