AFTER SIXTY YEARS
“My voice b’aint as good as it. were,” modestly said Arthur Smith, aged S 3, of Bentley, Hampshire, lately. He has just retired from the village church choir, after being a chorister for 60 years and a bellringer for 30 years. When Mr. Smith decided Io retire lie said: “rm just feeling a bit tired now anil 1 would like to give up.” Mr. Smith’s brother, Frederick, is 90 years old, and they both still follow labouring occupations.
