Tuneful Musical Romance.
(SOMETHING startlingly different will be offered in the way of musical films to picture-goers in Erich Pommer’s initial Fox Film production, “Music in the Air,” featuring Gloria ■Swanson and John Boles. Nine song lilts composed by one of America’s
foremost song writers, Jerome Kern, are featured in “Music in the Air.” Among them are, “I Told Every Little Star,” “We Belong Together” and "The Song is You.” The lavish settings for this film were designed by William Darling, w-ho won the Academy award for his notable “Cavalcade” sets. Sylvia Wellington, the J. C. Williamson star, is at present playing “Music in the Air” on the stage in Sydney.
Elinor Troy, Washington, U.SA., has been described by Busby Berkeley, of Warner Brothers, as the “most perfectly-formed girl he ever saw”—and lie should know, as he has engaged all the noted beauties that have appeared in Warner Brothers’ musicals. Miss Troy has been given a part in the firm’s forthcoming production, “Gold Diggers of 1935.”
