WELLINGTON EXPERIMENT The introduction as a trial measure of 12-trip transfer concession tickets available by tram and bus was approved by the Wellington City Council last night. The routes and prices of the tickets will be: (a) Courtenay Place or corner of Cuba and Vivian Streets to Melrose, 3/6; (b) Courtenay Place or corner of Cuba and Vivian Streets to View Road, 4/-. “This is an experiment, and we hope the people of Melrose will support it,” said the Mayor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop. Cr. W. Appleton said he hoped tlie policy would be extended to other similar areas. Cr. P. Butler raised the question of tlie reintroduction of the 3/- ticket. The Mayor replied that tlie finances of the tramways would not yet permit the reduction of the ticket from 3/6.
