“HAIL, MY LEADER”
Troops’ Response to Hitler London, February 13. The Berlin correspondent of “The* Times” states that General von Fritsch, Commander of the Reichswehr, has ordered that troops, when greeted, by Herr Hitler with the word “Hail,” must reply, “Hail, my leader.” „ Refusal to become “air raid warden for an apartment house or block of flats is now regarded as treason or at lease subversive sabotage. Residents of Konigsberg and Bremen have been sent to concentration camps because they refused to act in that capacity.
