A number o, good horses were engaged. Results clude:—FLYING’ HANDICAP. Six furlongs aud a half. First Division: CLOSING TIME, 9.7 (Bartie) I ROGILLA. 9.11 (Pratt) 2SILVER SCORN. 8.12 (Shelton) t MITEBITE, 7.0 (Tyler) c -(Dead-heat for third. Nine started, including Jaeko apd Martian Chief. Closing Time jumped out well, but Rogilla played up at the barrier and was slow away, but made up much lost ground. Closing . Time, however, finished strong.y to win' bv two and a half lengths, with the dead-beat horses four lengths away third. Martian Chief was seventh. Time. 1.231. Head; two lengths and a hull. Time. 2.17',. WIN FOR ARAUNAH (Received February 13, 10.5 p.m.) Melbourne. February 13. At the Epsom races to-day, the Epsom Plate, six furlongs, resulted:— ARAUNAH, 9.5 (Box) 1 YELLOWSTEAD. 8.2 (Badger) 2 RONDELETIA. 7.8 (Tomison) 3 Ten started. Sir Simper and First Money were scratched. Length; two lengths. Time. 1.135. In the Welter Mile Chief Light finished third. In the Epsom Purse and Golden Horn were unplaced.
