PALMERSTON ITEMS
The Mayor and Mayoress, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Mansfot'd, will leave for Auckland next Saturday night. where they will spend a week’s holiday. Mr. Mansford will attend the annual conference of the New Zealand Accountants’’ Association. There is no change in-the condition of Mr. F. H. Slater, of Palmerston North, who was seriously injured in a motor accident near Dannevirke last week and who is an inmate of the Dannevirke Hospital. At this morning's meeting'of the Kairanga County Council Cr. W. G. Shannon was extended a motion of sympathy in the recent loss of his father.
