HORTICULTURAL meeting
A joint meeting of members and friends in the lily and dahlia circles of the Wellington Horticultural Society will be held in Kirkcaldie’s-Lounge next Thursday, at 8 p.m., when talks, illustrated with displays, will be given. Mr. F. J. Shanks, formerly president of the . Canterbury Horticultural 'Society,' who is regarded as one of the foremost authorities in the Dominion, will give a talk on lilies and Mr. 11. Jones, of Miramar, a well-known grower and exhibitor, will deal with the subject of dahlias. All flowers are to be left for display on Friday, on behalf of the society, by Messrs. Kirkcaldie and Stains.
