KINDERGARTEN VISIT
Interest of Mrs. Keppel The Wellington Free Kindergarten opened on Wednesday last, when the Taranaki Street branch was visited by Mrs. Keppel, wife of Dr. F. P. Keppel, president of the Carnegie Corporation of New York. Mrs. Keppel, having been herself the president of the large Manhattan Kindergarten and Nursery School Association, at New York, was a most interested visitor, showing keen enthusiasm and sympathy with the work being done. Having met Miss Scott, the recent Carnegie Fellowship holder, when Miss Scott was in New York, she was able to see the value of the help given to the New Zealand Free Kindergarten Union by the Carnegie Corporation. It is hoped that Dr. Keppel may also be able to visit the kindergartens on his return from the south.
