PILLION-RIDER’S DEATH

Girl in Fatal Collision CYCLING WITH BROTHER Severe injuries from which she subsequently died were received by Miss Nellie Allis, aged 17, who lived at 44 Ware Street, Khandallah, when the motor-cycle on which she was riding with her brother, Mr. Leslie C. Allis, aged 26, collided with a bus at the corner of Porirua Road and Khandallah Road about 8 o’clock yesterday morning. Miss Allis received a compound fracture of the left ankle and leg. and-lacer-ated wounds to her face, left hand and arm, and her brother received a fracture of the jaw. Both were attended to by a doctor at the scene of the accident, and were taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.

Miss Allis died at 8.20 pan. The hospital authorities stated last night that Mr. Allis’s condition was satisfactory.
