Harvey and Cook are challenging Neusel and Eddie Phillips is challenging Petersen for the title. Larry Gams is ready to tight either Petersen .or Neusel.
“Pa” Petersen says "It is all 'boloney’ to say Jack’s career is finished. I have four fights fixed already.” Petersen's share of the takings for his fight against Neusel was £3500 ami Neusel’s £2500. Petersen’s eye is improving and did not require stitching. Neusel is willing for a return fight with Petersen.
The “Daily Mail” s ays that the defeat cost Petersen a prospective fortune of £50,000 and relegated him to the stragglers’ class as regards the world title because Neusel was more severely battered in August by the long deposed ex-ehampion Schmeling than Petersen was by Neusel last night. (Note on Pago 7.) Petersen was defeated by .Xeusel at Wembley, his seconds throwing in the towel in the eleventh round. In a bout for the cruiserweight title, Phillips outpointed Farr, tho holder.
