Wellington Market Active PRICES 'FULLY FIRM Except f.or Government loans and miscellaneous "trading and industrial issues, the demand was quiet on the Wellington Stock Exchange :yesterday. Prices, however, were fully firm, and there was again active trading, particularly in bank Offers for Government loans showed little change, and sellers showed no concessions. The 4 per cent, stockj 1900, was traded at ’£lo9/5/-. There was no demand for local body or company debentures. Waitaki Power, Board 4} per cents., 1960, sold at £lO5. Banks were a firm market, and had a good turnover. Australasias were reported done at £ll/12/6. National of Australasia £5 paid had three sales at ib 9/-, New Zealand D mortgage sold at 32/4, and Unions at £B/19/-. New Zealand Guarantee Corporations were firm on sales at 6/-. ... . , Breweries showed a hardening tendency. New Zealands sold at 52/-, and Tooheys moved up 3d. to 29/3.
