FIRE AT MELBOURNE
Much Damage at Timber Yard Melbourne, February 5. A fire, accompanied by a series of explosions of oil and petrol drums, which sent flames leaping high in the air, destroyed the timber yard of Macpherson and Lawrie at Middle Brighton. The damage to the mill and stacks is estimated at £30,000.
