Petone Display Good Form to Win The third and final round of the Hutt Valley bowling banner was played ou Saturday. The greens were very keen and thoroughly tested the ability of the players. Several games were closely contested and some good bowling was witnessed. Central club had seven wins and live losses; Petone, six wins and six losses; Lower Hutt, six wins and six losses; Upper Hutt, two and a half wins and two and a half losses: and Woburn, two and a half wins and four and a half losses. Petone club succeeded in winning the banner, displaying consistently good form throughout the competition, while Upper Hutt, the runners-up, are to be congratulated on their fine performance. . . . The banner competition is gaming in popularity every year and is eagerly looked forward to by the Hutt Valley clubs as a means of cementing the good fellowship among members.
