Association’s Annual Southdown Ram Fair, to be held at Feilding on Friday, February 8, 1935, at 9.45 a.m. sharp, starting on the shearling ewes. The offering comprises:— 46 shearling ewes 55, 2 and 3-shear ewes 50 4 and 5-shear ewes 48 stud ewe lambs 44 flock ram lambs. The sheep have all been passed hy the Southdown Society’s Inspector. This well-known fleck (No. 211) was founded in 1914 with the purchase of 14 selected shearling ewes from the flock of Jas Knight, Esq. (No. 54), and by purchasing Mr. A. F. Fitzherbert’s complete flock (No. 63. founded in 1905) in 1916. Breeding with selected sires from the well-known Pariroa flock (Hugh Burrell and Son, No. 143) has been carried on under natural conditions, constitution and quality being the principal aim. .
