British Team’s Itinerary The Wellington Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association met on Monday night, Mr. A. C. Kitto, president, being hi the ‘chair. The following itinerary for the appearances of the British athletic team ■in New Zealand was received from the .New Zealand Council:— February 13, West Coast (N. 1. Centre, at Hawera: February 16, Auckland; February 20, Napier or Hastings; February 23, W el■lington; February 27, Dunedin; March 2, Christchurch. The following is the programme ot events’ for the Wellington provincial championships which will be held at the Basin Reserve on February 161—Championships : 100yds., 220yds., 440yds., BSO yds., one mile, three miles, one mile walk, .three miles walk, 220yds. hurdles, 440yds. hurdles, high jump, broad jump, hop, •step and jump, pole vault, discus, javelin, shot, hammer, relay race. ine .above events will produce points tor the ■MeVilly Shield. There will also be a large number .of junior, women s and .cycling events included in the programme. ' Mr.' A. C. Kitto wns unanimously elected sole selector for Wellington. Athletics iu Mnsterton will benefit conisiderablv by the visit of a Wellington team this Saturday. Mr. Kitto announced that between 30 and 40 runners would be making the journey. Mr. L. I rice (Petone) was appointed manager. On account of the English-AI ellington women’s cricket match at the Basin Reserve on Saturday, the Civil Service annual sports have been postponed until February 27. . Registered athletes are not to compete at old boys’ gatherings without the permission of centres. This ruling was cited bv Mr. Kitto When a passage in a report from the Wairar.apa sub-centre came under notice.
