WELLINGTON OMITTED
Trunk Air Service May Not Call at Rongotai Wellington will not be a stopping place on the trunk air service of National Airways of New Zealand, Ltd., organised by the Union Steam Ship Company, if it receives a license for its proposed Palmerston North-Dun-edin service, the Transport Co-ordina-tion Board was told yesterday. Mr. N. S. iFnlla. managing director of the Union Company, said that the reason that no call would be made at Rongotai was that the planes would avoid the weather and risks of Wellington. “If Rongotai were improved, would you consider going there?” Mr. S. E. Nielson asked. Mr, Falla said that there was no connection from Wellington northward, but with a.call at Rongotai they could not guarantee to keep to time-table with big machines.
