What to Pay for Foodstuffs Melons have recently made their appearance in Wellintgon city shops. Water melons are dear yet at 4d. to 6d. a pound, and rock melons are priced at dd. tp 6d. each. Passionfruit, 12 to 24 for 1/-, are also among the new arrivals. Present prices are as follow:— Provisions. Eggs—l/3 and 1/5 dozen. Butter—First grade, 1/0J; whey, lOd. lb.
