Good Competition By Telegraph. —Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received February 4, 9.45 p.m.) Sydney, February 4. At the wool sales to-day 11,876 bales were offered and 10,692 were sold at auction ; also 1801 bales .were sold privately. ' . . There was good competition from Yorkshire. Japan and France, with moderate support from Germany. Prices were on a par with those of last week. Good wools were in keen request, but doubtful yielding sorts were still irregular and withdrawals of these were fairly heavy. Greasy merino made 20d. The average price last week was £ll 16/10 a bale, or 9.4 d. a lb.
