SPEEDWAY CRASHES
Riders Seriously Hurt
(Received February 3, 6.30 p.m.) Sydney, February 2.
During speedway racing at the Showgrounds last night, two sensational accident, occurred, in one of which the English test captain, “Tiger” Stevenson, and a team-mate. Cliff Parkinson, figured.
The pair came down and their machines were flung high in tiie air. Stevenson escaped with minor injuries, but Parkinson received concussion and abrasions, and his condition is serious.
Harry Lewis was seriously injured in a crash two heats later.
