FORECAST FOR TO-DAY’S WEATHER.

Fair to fine; rain developing. Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for 24 hours ending 4 p.m. to-day. An intense anti-cyclone is still centred near Chatham Islands, while a rather deep cyclone is located over the south-west Tasman Sea. Forecast: Winds north-cast to northerly, and moderate to strong. Seas rough about Cook Strait and rising north of East Cape and south of Cape Egmont; elsewhere smooth'to moderate in New Zealand waters. Moderate to strong north-east to northerly winds and rather rough seas in the eastern Tasman Sea. Weather still for the most part fair to fine and warm, but clouding over in western and far northern, districts, and scattered rain developing. Rainfall at “The Dominion” Building for 48 hours ended midnight last night: Nil. Rainfall for February; Nil.
