TAXI-DRIVER FOUND DEAD
With indications suggesting suicide, Walter Howard Ferdinando, aged 27, taxi driver, was found dead in his taxi on Makar'a beacli early. on Saturday morning. The engine was running and the doors and windows of the taxi were closed. Ferdinando was lying in the front seat with a pillow under his head. The discovery was made by a Makara resident about four hours after Ferdinando had last been seen alive in the city between 1 and 2 a.m. Ferdinando was a single man who came out from England about seven years ago, and is not believed to have had any relations in New Zealand. He resided in Willis Street.
