SYDNEY INQUIRY
Report of A.J.C. Stewards Sydney, February 1. The stewards of the Australian Jockey Club report that in connection with ■the inquiry into the conduct of certain jockeys in the hurdle race at Randwick last Saturday, certain persons are to be cited to appear before them. The A.J.C. stewards also completed inquiries into incidents associated with a hurdle race at Canterbury Park on August 4. , . . They reported: “The stewards inquired into an allegation that monetary inducement was given for corrupt purpose by one jockey to another prior to and in connection with the running of the hurdle race. After hearing evidence the stewards decided to refer the matter to the A.J.C. committee for consideration.”
