NEW ELECTRIC RATE
By Telegraph—Press Association. ‘ Levin. February 2. The Horowhenua Power Board thjs week favourably considered a proposed new rate suggested by the secretary, Mr. F. J. Ramsay, and recommended by a special committee appointed to consider it. The proposed rate is 10/- a month minimum for electricity used for all domestic purposes except water-heating, plus Jd. for all additional units. It would be, n effect. 25 units at 5Jd. a unit, with a charge of 3d. a unit for all units in excess of 25 per month, the minimum charge being 10/-.
; The scheme was adopted provisionally ’ on the motion of the chairman, Mr. G. A. i, Monk, to be put into operation at the ■ end of *he present financial year.
