Valuable Relic at-Konini

Sir.—On more than one occasion I have noticed mentioned in “The Dominion” that Bishop West-Watson, of Christchurch, has collected one or two historic stones from the Glastonbury Cathedral. Some fifteen years ago I was very much impressed at being taken io see, and told the history of, a small - l in a little church at Konini, close to I’ahiatua. This, I was informed, was a stone taken from the above-mentioned Cathedral and converted into a font. The members of this tiny church were justly proud of possessing such a valuable relic.—l am, etc., “DOMINION” READER. Palmerston North.
