The story of the Jewish race is traced through Biblical times and the later conquests up to the coming of the British mandate. An account of the crusades is included, and another section deals with archaeology and art and Important discoveries through excavation and research, in themselves history of the land. Under other headings are given particulars of the people and their religions, the work of administration, tails regarding communications and other information for tourists, and a survey of commerce and industry. Attention is also paid to geology, mining and natural history.

In an appendix are to be found the texts of the mandate for Palestine, the agreement between Great Britain and the Amir of trans-Jordan, and the trans-Jordan Organic Law.
