From Melbourne, Edlthburg and Adelaide the Union Company’s Karetu'reached Bluff yesterdny afternoon. She is to leave there again to-day for Dunedin, Timaru, Lyttelton, ■ Wellington,- Wanganui, New Plymouth and Auckland, and is due here about next Thursday. THE TROIAN STAR. To continue her Homeward loading, the Trojan Star is due at Wellington to-night from Gisborne. The Blue Star Line have recently modernised the passenger accommodation of the Trojan Star, the: public rooms and cabins having been entirely renovated aud refurnished. The two-berth cabins are equipped with ail up-to-date conveniences and two sinsle beds are. provided. The innovation 'of a special suite complete with private bathroom, etc., further adds to the attractiveness of the-ac-commodation. The smoking-room has been enlarged and refurnished and has been panelled throughout with light oak.' Also a very well-appointed bar has been . installed next to the snioking-r.oom.

LYTTELTON SERVICE Waihine Resumes Monday The Union Company's Wahine, which has now completed ‘her extensive overhaul and survey after having been laid up at Wellington over the.winter months, is to resume her running In the Wellington-Lyt-telton express steamer service next week. On her arrival at Wellington-from Lyttlton to-morrow; the Rangatira will withdraw and lay up for overhaul and survey. Iler place will be taken by the Wahine. which will Wellington on Monday for Lyttelton. The Rangatira will resume running on Monday, November 19, while the Wahine, which will arrive here on November 18, will remain in port until Tuesday, November 20, W’hen she will leave for Lyttelton in place of the Maori. The Maori will then withdraw and lay up at Wellington over the summer months, the service being maintained by the Rangatira and Wahine.
