Municipal election results available at 2.30 a.m. show preponderating Labour gains} in London , and the provinces. a large proportion being seats lost three years ago. A feature of the London poll is the complete rout of Communist candidates. PARTY GAINS AND LOSSES (Received November 3. 1.45 a.m.) London, November 2. Mr. George Lansbury said the results prove that municipal socialism is getting a firm hold of the people, and it is certain that the longer the Government remains in office tire greater will be the smashing victory for Labour.
