Mrs. Tosswill, Hastings, is the guest of Mrs. A. D. Crawford, Miramar. Mrs. R. E. Isaacs, Auckland, is spending a holiday in Wellington. Mrs. George Bowron has returned to Christchurch from Wellington. Mrs. F. I. Cowlishaw, Christchurch, is paying a visit to Wellington.

Mr. and Mrs. W. Campbell and Miss Morral, Upper Hutt, are staying in Timaru.

Miss E. Barron, Thorndon Quay, who has been visiting Hawke’s Bay, returned to Wellington yesterday. Mrs. David Allan and Miss Harper Allan left last eyening by the steamer express for ttlre (NewfiZhaJADflaCup.*

Mrs. Hugh Thomson, who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Elliot Scott, in Wellington, has returned to Auckland. Miss Rima Fraer, Christchurch, who has been visiting Napier and Danne virke, is now staying with Miss S. Barker in Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Garvey, who were recently married in Fiji, will arrive in New Zealand next week, and will be the guests of Miss Elsie Williams at “Frimley,” Hastings, until they leave for England from. Napier on November 6.

Mrs. Algar Williams, “Fernside,” Featherston; Mrs. C. B. Trimnell and Miss N. Trimnell, Bolton Street; Mrs. Ultan McCabe, Park Street; Mrs. Desmond Todd, Salamanca Road; Mrs. A. D. Bayfield and the Misses Bayfield, Telford Terrace; Mrs. C. E. Wheeler, Grant Road, left by the steamer express last evening for the races in Christchurch.

Captain and Mrs. W. Maxwell and their two children will leave Wanganui on Sunday for Napier, where they will join the Tamaroa for England. Captain Maxwell is to take a two years’ course at Camberley Military College. Many farewell parties have been given for the travellers, who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Hartland before leaving lyanganui.
