CHOICE OF CANDIDATES
Labour Preparations For General Election Labour is preparing actively for the next general election in the choice of candidates to contest seats on its behalf: Already 38 candidates have been officially endorsed .by the national executive of the New Zealand Labour Barty. At present 18 other electorates are proceeding with selection ballots and oflicial announcements will be made as the ballots are completed and names approved‘by the executive. It is expected that in all Labour will contest 70 out of the SO seats. Mr. Savage’s Speaking Tour , A tour commencing about the third week in November is to bo undertaken by the Lender of the Barliameqtary Labour Barty, Mr. M. J. z Savage, who Intends to visit several North Island electorates with the object of addressing public meetings, on Labour's policyproposals. The precise date the tour will open depends upon tho day that Parliament will adjourn. Mr. Savage will visit South Island centres. early in the new year.
