“Hit-and-Run” Motorist \ Dominion Special Service. • Mastertoil, November 1. Injuries to tbe head, a leg and shock were received by a girl named Eva Haines, domestic, aged about 23, residing in Bruce Street, when she was knocked off her bicycle by a "lilt and run” motorist about 7.30 o’clock tonight. ‘ Miss Haines and a girl friend left Masterton on bicycles to-night, rode as far as Waingawa fridge and were returning to town along High Street when Miss Haines was struck by a cat travelling in the same direction. The driver of the car failed to stop. The injured girl received medical attention and was Utter admitted to the Masterton Hospital.
