PARLIAMENT BUSY

Long Session Likely (By Telegraph—Press Association,) Christchurch, September 15. An indication that the present session of Parliament is most likely to be a long one was given by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, last night. He said that it would be difficult to forecast whether Parliament would rise before December. The pile of legislation ahead included matters concerning the Dairy Commission’s report. A Bill based on the Interim report of that commission was being drafted, to facilitate progress when the full report was ready. Other matters from which legislation might arise were concerned with the Customs, the companies inquiry, the Native Commission's report, and alterations to the mining laws.
