In New Zealand 1500 electric power line breakages occur annually, said Mr. D. Jamieson, of the Public Works Department, in the course of a paper read yesterday before the conference of the Supply Authority Engineers’ Association. Of all these breaks 25 per cent, are caused by falling trees, he added.
