Hutton—Blair 'The wedding was celebrated, yesterday afternoon at St. Paul’s Pro-Cathe-dral, which nad been beautifully decorated for the occasion, of Helen Sara, eldest daughter of the Hon. Mr. Justice Blair and Mrs. Blair, Eccleston Hill, Wellington, and John Campbell, eldest son of Mrs. Hutton and the late Mr. Colin Hutton, Wanganui. Archdeacon Hansell officiated at the ceremony, and Mr. Robert Parker, C.M.G., presided at the organ. The solo from the bridal chorus of Wagner’s “Lohengrin” was, sung by Mrs. Leo Campion, Fordell, during the signing of the register. , ', . The bride’s lovely gown of parchment .satin, which, was copied from a mediaeval drawing, was niade on long straight lines with a satin girdle weighted by a tassell of pearls, a Medici collar framing the face, and long close-fitting sleeves that fell over the hands in points. A veil of old Limerick lace hung in graceful folds from the shoulders, and a halo of gold thread added an unusual air of oldworld dignity, while her flowers wers a classic- sheaf of gilded lilies. She entered 'the church with her father, followed by her four bridesmaids. Miss Alison Blair, her sister, Miss Betty Hutton, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Betty Jackson, Auckland, and Miss Jessie Elliott were dressed alike in frocks of primrose yellow taffetas, with square necks, ruched Medici col lars, and bodices pointed in front and finished at the back with ruffled panniers. On their heads were twisted bands of gold tissue, and they carried branches of pear blossom. A small niece of the bridegroom. Susan Wright, was another attendant, and wore a long satin frock of parchment shade, a gold ribbon was tied in her hair, and she carried one gilded lily. XV. F. Stent, on Wednesday last, of Aneta Zoe Lidia, youngest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. E. James, Parkvale, and Harold Rupert, youngest son of Mr. J. and the late Mrs. Sage, Belvedere. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. F. J. James, wore a white ankle-length frock of crinkle crepe, flared at the hem, with a tulle veil. She carried a charming bouquet of white spring flowers and maidenhair fern. Miss Blanche James, her sister, acted as bridesmaid, wearing an anklelength frock of Naples-blue crinkle crepe, with hairband and shoes to match, and her bouquet was of blue flowers. The best man was Mr. R. Gates, and Mr. Miller Hope, Carterton, presided at the organ. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Parkvale Hall, where Mrs.James, wearing a navy blue frock and hat. received about 50 guests. XVhen Mr. and Mrs. Sage- left by train for the -south, where they will spend' their honeymoon, Mrs. Sage wore a blue frock, with black hat. and coat, shoes, and handbag of blue. Their future home will be at Belvedere.
