BUSY BEES’ JUBILEE
Au enthusiastic gathering of children and leaders met on Friday in St. John's Schoolroom to celebrate the jubilee of,the Busy Bees, the children's organisation of the Presbyterian XVornen’s Missionary Union. The Moderator of Assembly, the Rev. D. D. Scott, presided, and welcomed the Busy Bees. The Rev. R. Inglis, Clerk of Presbytery, brought greetings and congratulations. Mrs. McLeod, the secretary, also spoke, and the president, Mrs. R. Inglis, traced the growth of the movement. The twenty-five candles on the birthday cake, a gift from the president, were lit by a Busy Bee from each branch. Greetings were sent to the’ Dominion president, Mrs, Swan, who is about to retire, r The Busy Bee bands and the Girls’ Auxiliary entertained the audience with missionary plays, hymns, and recitations.
