ARMED HOLD-UP

A hold-up occurred at A. V. xkrthur’s store in High Street, Greymouth, shortly after midnight on (Monday. Mr. Arthur heard a knock at the back door and when be opened it a masked man presented a gun and demanded money. Mr. Arthur immediately closed witli him, and after a struggle succeeded in getting tbe gun. The man struck him heavily in the face, broke away, and escaped.
