DECISION RESERVED
Distraint of Goods Decision was reserved by his Honour the Chief Justice, Sir Jlichael Myers, in the Supreme Court, Wellington, yesterday, in the case in which John Hugh Merrick, shop assistant, Wellington, sought the recovery of goods distrained by the Public Trustee as a distress for alleged arrears in renb, and claimed £lO6 general damages. Plaintiff contended that the Public Trustee as executor of the estate of Elizabeth Stuart, .lames wrongfully distrained goods of his in a house nt IS2 Tinakori Road. Mr. A. B. Sievwright appeared for plaintiff and Mr. O. C. Mazengarb for defendant.
