COLLEGE DISPLAY
A drill and dance display will be given by the Wellington Girls’ College in the Town Hall on Wednesday evening, August 15. The programme, which is an illustration of a story called “The Land of Rhythm.” includes dances, skating, Swedish drill, marching. Greek deportment exercises, and signalling. There are 200 performers, trained by Mrs. Taylor, and the school orchestra, under the eonductorship of Miss Henry, will provide the music. The Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Parents’ Association will have a sweets stall. The proceeds of the entertainment will go toward the school funds.
Water From River Jordan. An incident of Interest took place in St. Mark’s Church on Sunday, when Cynthia Margaret, infant daughter of .Mr. and Mrs. J. Costley, was christened with writer from the River Jordan,, which had been sent by tlie child's aunt from Cairo.
