FOOTBALLERS’ SYMPATHY
Deaths of Messrs. McGirr and Kitto The recent deaths of Mr. W. P. MeGirr and Mr. Francis Kitto were referred to at last evening’s meeting of the Wellington Football Association, when it was deckled to send letters of sympathy to their respective families. “Both these gentlemen have passed away in the last few days, and both are well known to the sporting fraternity,” said the chairman, Mr. W. B. Hicks. He pointed out that Mr. McGirr's son. Mr. L. W. McGirr. had represented New Zealand at Soccer, and mentioned that Mr. Kitto’s son. Mr. A. C. Kitto, was a prominent figure in all sports. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect.
