Steel Pipes for Dunedin Water Supply BRITISH PROVISO By Telegraph.—f’ress Association Dunedin, May 9. The city council at a meeting tonight accepted the tender of the Hume Steel Company for the supply and delivery of steel pipes and fittings required for a scheme for augmenting the city water supply. The tender price was £81,280/17/-. A further sum, equnl to 3 per cent., is to be added to the schedule prices of Hie pipes if manufactured from steel made in Britain. A proviso in the acceptance is that the pipes must be manufactured of such steel.
